Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
  • Fund accounting experience preferred.
  • Accounts payable and payroll experience are a plus.
  • Experience with integrated computerized accounting systems required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Experience with SchoolsOpen software preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and make good decisions per policies.

Responsibilities

  • Process financial transactions and post to general ledger.
  • Perform month-end closing activities and prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Assist with grant drawdowns and related financial documentation for reimbursement and grant compliance.
  • Assist in preparation and monitoring of annual budgets.
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
  • Complete credit card reconciliations with receipts and coding.
  • Assist in the property tax collection process and reconciliation.
  • Help develop, implement and monitor internal controls.
  • Assist and/or serve as backup for accounts payable.
  • Prepare and manage monthly cash flow report.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly Medicaid cost reports.
  • Prepare various financial reports and analyses as needed.
  • Prepare schedules, gather information and assist auditors as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Business and Finance.

Position/Type: Full-Time, 12-month employees

Salary: $60,000-$70,000-Commensurate with education and experience, plus comprehensive benefits package and generous paid time off

Location: Central Office, Business Office

Reports: Assistant Superintendent of Business and Finance

QUALIFICATIONS:

RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties of this job include but are not limited to:

  • 7. Assists in the property tax collection process and reconciliation.

  • 10.Prepare and manage monthly cash flow report.
  • 11. Prepare and submit quarterly Medicaid cost reports.
