Job Summary

This role is responsible for leading and optimizing shipping and receiving operations, ensuring efficient workflows, maintaining inventory accuracy, and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity. The Supervisor will also be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, capable of driving positive change in a union environment, supporting safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipments.
• Lead and mentor warehouse staff, providing training to enhance performance.
• Work with union leadership and team members to foster respectful labor-management relationships.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and customer service teams to optimize supply chain operations.
• Coordinate with Logistics on scheduling, productivity, and execution of activities.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct audits, and ensure proper documentation.
• Identify and implement solutions to improve warehouse productivity and workflows.
• Analyze performance metrics and generate reports for continuous improvement.
• Implement efficiency improvements to streamline processes and reduce costs.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes.
• Knowledge of employment laws and OSHA safety regulations.
• Experience working with union employees is a plus.
• Ability to work primarily on 2nd shift, with flexibility for other shifts as needed.
