Job summary

Hach (a Veralto company) in Ames, IA, is seeking an Operator III-Distribution to retrieve, stock, and verify materials in a high-bay warehouse and to pack and ship outbound orders. This on-site role requires operating warehouse equipment, maintaining FIFO, and ensuring inventory accuracy within the Distribution Department.

The position offers a 3:15pm–1:45am schedule, health benefits, 401(k), and onboarding/training options as part of a supportive team focused on safe, reliable order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• HS or GED or Diploma required.
• 2+ years of related warehouse experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience using powered warehouse equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pack and ship quality products according to standard work and regulations set by compliance department, ensuring quality products are safely delivered to customers.
• Pack and ship hazardous and non-hazardous orders according to pick ticket instructions.
• Deliver materials to designated locations using equipment with a safety-first mindset.
• Operate manual and/or powered equipment to pick/place products, including high-bay locations.
• Perform computer transactions to confirm product availability for external orders.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Pick customer orders to meet quality and on-time delivery goals.
• Store raw chemicals in designated locations per storage regulations.
• Maintain FIFO processes for materials passing through the facility.
• Contribute to inventory reconciliation and accuracy; support safe, orderly work area.
• Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.
