Job summary

McCormick & Company is seeking a Distribution Technician to operate material handling equipment and fulfill customer orders at the Byhalia, MS distribution center. The role includes picking/packing/shipping, inputting data, and supporting inventory control in a fast-paced environment.

Under supervision, you will participate in team meetings, perform routine warehouse tasks, and ensure accuracy and timely handling of orders. Temperature extremes are expected and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• GED required; basic math, reading and speaking skills.
• Experience using material handling equipment in a warehouse environment preferred; basic MS Windows experience.
• Forklift license required; SAP transactions/process training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates transporter, stand-up, reach or sit-down fork truck.
• Completes all paperwork and system transactions according to SOPs.
• Identifies and communicates issues to shift crew leader, warehouse supervisor or manager.
• Attends shift meetings and recommends process improvements.
• Performs sanitation and battery changing as part of general duties.
