Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated in Salinas, CA is hiring a Distribution Technician - 1st Shift to pick/pack/shipping orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will operate material handling equipment, input data, and support inventory control while following safety and quality standards.

Under supervision of the Team Manager, you will perform inbound/outbound tasks, labeling, and paperwork, contribute to process improvements, and adapt to temperature extremes and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Must be able to lift 25–50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
Ability to operate various material handling equipment safely.

Responsibilities

Pick/pack/shipping all customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.
Operate transporter, stand-up, reach or sit-down forklift as required.
Complete paperwork and system transactions per SOPs, including labels and placards.
Identify and communicate issues to shift leadership and management.
Attend shift meetings and contribute to process improvements.
Perform sanitation and battery changing duties.
