Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated in Salinas, CA is seeking a Distribution Technician I for the 2nd shift to pick, pack, and ship customer orders efficiently. The role requires operating material handling equipment and handling inbound/outbound activities, with attention to accuracy and documentation.

You’ll be part of a team facing temperature extremes and routine overtime on short notice. Responsibilities include completing paperwork, coordinating with team leaders, and supporting inventory

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a forklift license via McCormick.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds continually and 25-50 pounds frequently.
• Work environment exposed to spice dust, odors, noise and temperature extremes.

Responsibilities

• Pick/pack/shipping all customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Operate transporter, stand-up, reach or sit-down forklift.
• Complete paperwork and system transactions per procedures (labels, pick lists).
• Identify and communicate issues to shift leadership.
• Attend shift meetings and support process improvements.
• Perform general duties including sanitation and battery changing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
