Hourly Pay Rate: $48.00 - $50.00

System One is seeking a Distribution Systems Test Engineer to support electric distribution operations and testing activities across Texas. This role is responsible for coordinating and executing point-to-point testing of field and substation devices, ensuring proper communication and functionality between equipment and control systems.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams, operations personnel, field crews, and control center staff to support the commissioning, testing, and maintenance of critical distribution infrastructure. This position offers hands‑on exposure to advanced utility technologies and grid modernization projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute point-to-point testing of electric distribution and substation equipment.
• Schedule testing activities and collaborate with field crews and operational teams.
• Verify communication and functionality between field devices and control systems.
• Track, document, and report testing progress and results.
• Utilize Excel, PowerApps, and other tools to manage testing records and reporting.
