Job summary

Great Lakes Energy is seeking a Distribution System Operator I in Boyne City, MI to monitor and operate the electric distribution system. You will work with SCADA, OMS, and AMI applications to support reliability and coordinate outage restoration with field crews and dispatch personnel.

You will review system performance, prepare switching orders, and assist with emergency notifications while maintaining safe operations. Day shift with potential schedule adjustments based on department needs.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Power Technology, or a related utility operations discipline.
Minimum of two years of related experience.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Monitor and operate the electric distribution system using SCADA, OMS, and AMI applications.
Coordinate switching with line crews, dispatch, engineers, and other operations staff.
Assist with outage restoration, fault location, and emergency response communications.
