Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee drivers at a terminal or distribution center. You will create work schedules, monitor routing, and implement solutions for on-time deliveries while promoting safety and customer service Excellence.

The role requires leadership, CDL credentials, and experience in distribution/logistics. You will interact with multiple teams; a strong English proficiency and a commitment to safety are essential for success and career growth

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2–5 years experience in distribution, logistics, and/or transportation with leadership exposure.
CDL Class A license and endorsements within 30 days as required.
Tanker, doubles/triples endorsements and milk sampler/hauler license as required.
Current medical card.
Must read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

Provide daily work direction to professional drivers to ensure safety and efficiency; manage vehicle and driver assignments.
Monitor daily activity and adjust load assignments; communicate with stakeholders across locations.
Maintain up-to-date routes and utilize routing software to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Prepare schedules, approve time, monitor overtime, and address timekeeping issues.
Ensure daily paperwork is completed (DOT reports, logs, maintenance, billing, tickets).
Prepare and distribute KPI reports and operational insights.
Build positive relationships with members/customers to ensure optimal service.
Ensure safety and performance through training, coaching, and audits.
