Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee drivers at the designated terminal or distribution center, develop schedules, and drive safe, efficient operations that meet customer requirements.

You will monitor daily activity, adjust loads, manage routing software, prepare KPI reports, and foster strong working relationships with members, customers, drivers, and dispatch to ensure reliable service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years in distribution, logistics, and/or transportation with leadership experience.
• CDL Class A with required endorsements and medical card.
• Must obtain tanker, doubles/triples endorsements and milk hauler license as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction to drivers to ensure safe, efficient operations and meet customer requirements.
• Create and manage driver schedules, approve time, and monitor overtime to meet goals.
• Monitor routing and load assignments and communicate with stakeholders to optimize routes.
• Maintain route knowledge and utilize routing software to cut costs and improve service.
• Prepare and distribute KPI reports and ensure proper daily paperwork and compliance with DOT rules.
• Train and coach drivers, enforce safety, and support human resources on personnel matters.
