Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Jackson, TN is hiring a Distribution Supervisor for the 2nd shift. The role focuses on safety, staffing, planning, and leading a warehouse team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (associate accepted), 3+ years in warehousing or distribution, 1+ year leadership, and proficiency in MS Office with SAP/WMS experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum requirement of associate’s degree.
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing setting.
  • Minimum 1+ years' recent relevant leadership experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with inventory or warehouse software, databases, and other systems including SAP and WMS, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety of employees via active safety culture management, policy enforcement, and assisting in developing improvements to our business.
  • Maintain a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the department's mission in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Plan and coordinate work by performing time studies, cost analysis, or other means as necessary.
  • Trains and motivates; monitors and evaluates performance of associates in the department.
  • Ensures our associates ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations.
  • Team member engagement. Effectively build relationships and trust with the team to successfully execute daily/weekly/monthly goals.
  • Develops Team Leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned associates.
  • Monitors, measures, and documents department performance for cost, labor, and productivity requirements.
  • Working with the Human Resources Department, select employees through the normal hiring process, consistently administer policies and procedures as applicable, monitor employee performance/attendance/time, resolve associate relation issues, coach and counsel for improvement and apply discipline consistently where necessary up to and including termination of employment.

The Job:

The Salary range for this position is $63,800.00 - $102,700.00
