Job summary

Big Tex Trailer Manufacturing Llc in Madill, OK seeks an experienced Materials Supervisor to coordinate receiving, inventory, scheduling, and production materials for timely delivery to the floor. Reports to the Materials Manager and leads the materials team including scheduler, cycle counts, and forklift drivers.

The role emphasizes inventory accuracy, material shortages escalation with Procurement and Production, and optimal material storage within the facility while maintaining ERP and safety

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Lean Daily Management background preferred.
• APICS training preferred.
• Root cause analysis background desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the materials team including plant scheduler, cycle count team, and forklift drivers.
• Manage inventory control and ensure timely replenishment.
• Coordinate material control with Production and Procurement to address shortages.
• Optimize raw material storage and ensure compliance with ERP procedures and safety standards.
• Monitor shipping and OTIF of Vertical integration parts; manage Min/Max and Kan Ban levels.

Trailers has an immediate opening for an experienced Materials Supervisor in Madill, OK The general purpose of this position is to coordinate between the receiving, inventory, scheduling, and production teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials to the production floor. This position will be reported directly to the Materials Manager.Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise the materials team to include the plant scheduler, cycle count team, and forklift drivers.Manage inventory control, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely replenishmentBe responsible for working with production department regarding material control, consumption, repair, and scrapWork with Procurement and Production to identify and escalate any material shortages on the production floor.Optimize raw material storage within the production facility.Monitor and drive compliance with all company policies, ERP procedures, and safety standards.Monitor and Manage the shipping, order entry, and OTIF of Vertical integration parts.Monitor and Manage the Min/Max and Kan Ban levels in the Vertical Integration WarehousePerform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environmentQualifications & SkillsA minimum of one (1) to three (3) years supervisory experienceGood verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsProblem-solving and decision-making skillsLean Daily Management background highly preferredRoot cause Analysis backgroundAPICS trained preferredThe successful candidate is expected to develop proficiency in D365 as part of their role.
