Job summary

BD in Four Oaks, NC is seeking an experienced operations supervisor to lead daily warehouse and logistics activities on-site. You will ensure accurate and timely shipping, maintain GDP and SOP adherence, and partner with internal teams to meet customer expectations.

The role requires an associate degree, at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends.

• Maintain and update SOPs and work instructions, ensuring training and GDP adherence.
• Develop work schedules, assign responsibilities, and manage staffing to meet business demands.
• Support talent management activities including employee development and promotions.
• Lead regular team meetings to communicate updates, safety initiatives, and policy changes.
• Foster a safety-first culture by ensuring adherence to procedures.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Ensure orders are shipped accurately and on time by leading daily operations in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
• Utilize and maintain compliance with BD’s inventory control and warehouse management systems to support operational excellence.
• Track, analyze, and report key performance metrics, including cost per case or line shipped, distribution center expenses as a percentage of sales, inventory performance, and other operational KPIs.
• Partner closely with internal Business Units to align operations and consistently meet customer expectations.
• Maintain and update departmental procedures, SOPs, and work instructions, ensuring all associates receive required training and adhere to C2C training guidelines.
• Develop work schedules, assign responsibilities, and manage staffing levels to meet business demands while balancing fluctuating workloads.
• Support talent management activities, including employee development, promotions, transfers, corrective actions, and conflict resolution, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Lead regular team meetings to communicate operational updates, safety initiatives, quality expectations, policy changes, and other key business information.
• Promote and enforce Good Documentation Practices (GDP), ensuring compliance with established SOPs and work instructions.
• Foster a safety-first culture by ensuring adherence to all operating procedures and practices that prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree
• 2 years supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work a flexible shift and weekends as business requirements dictate.
