Job summary

BD, a leading global medical technology company, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily shipping operations in Four Oaks, NC. You will ensure accurate on-time orders, manage staffing, and champion safety and GDP compliance.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree, two years supervisory experience in fast-paced settings, and flexibility to work weekends. This on-site role emphasizes collaboration with business units to meet customer expectations and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure orders are shipped accurately and on time by leading daily operations in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
• Utilize and maintain compliance with BD’s inventory control and warehouse management systems to support operational excellence.
• Track, analyze, and report key performance metrics, including cost per case or line shipped, distribution center expenses as a percentage of sales, inventory performance, and other operational KPIs.
• Partner closely with internal Business Units to align operations and consistently meet customer expectations.
• Maintain and update departmental procedures, SOPs, and work instructions, ensuring all associates receive required training and adhere to C2C training guidelines.
• Develop work schedules, assign responsibilities, and manage staffing levels to meet business demands while balancing fluctuating workloads.
• Support talent management activities, including employee development, promotions, transfers, corrective actions, and conflict resolution, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Lead regular team meetings to communicate operational updates, safety initiatives, quality expectations, policy changes, and other key business information.
• Promote and enforce Good Documentation Practices (GDP), ensuring compliance with established SOPs and work instructions.
• Foster a safety-first culture by ensuring adherence to all operating procedures and practices that prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
