Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Superintendent for our Dalton, GA facility. Lead and develop the salaried leadership team to drive safety, quality, and productivity across the distribution operations.

You will collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and EHS to meet demand and improve performance while ensuring compliance with DOT requirements and company policies.

Formación

• Requires a 4-year degree and 1+ year supervisory experience, or a HS diploma with 2+ years supervisory experience and 3+ years distribution experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for formal correspondence and presentations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools; ability to learn business software systems.

Responsabilidades

• Provide overall leadership for Plant 6D operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and alignment with business goals.
• Lead and develop salaried leadership to improve performance and engagement.
• Develop workforce plans to maintain staffing levels and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with Sales and Customer Service to meet demand through effective production planning.
• Collaborate with second-shift supervisor to meet production and distribution schedules, ensuring on-time customer delivery.
• Work with EHS and Engineering to address safety, equipment, and continuous improvement opportunities.

Job Title Distribution Superintendent Position Overview

Provide overall leadership and direction for Plant 6D operations, ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in alignment with business objectives. Lead and develop the team to execute operational strategies in a disciplined, organized, and effective manner while driving performance, continuous improvement, associate engagement, quality, and customer service results.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safety-first culture that prioritizes associate well-being across all operations.
• Drive a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement to achieve outstanding business results in safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
• Foster a culture of respect, trust, and open communication that encourages associates to voice concerns and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop the salaried leadership team to strengthen performance and achieve operational and business goals.
• Develop and execute workforce plans to ensure appropriate staffing levels and operational efficiency across the facility.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Service teams to ensure customer demand is met through effective production planning and execution.
• Partner with the second-shift supervisor to ensure production and shipping schedules are met, customer delivery commitments are achieved, and products are accurately loaded for distribution.
• Work cross-functionally with EHS and Engineering to proactively address safety concerns, equipment challenges, and continuous improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree and 1+ year of Supervisory experience or High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of previous Supervisory experience 3+ years previous Distribution experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through written correspondence, presentations, and interpersonal interactions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and other business-related software systems.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proven ability to drive performance, execute priorities, and achieve business objectives.
• Willingness and ability to travel to regional warehouse locations as needed.
• Proven track record of proactively identifying opportunities and achieving measurable results.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance and transportation regulations preferred.
