Job summary

This union role is based at the Harrisburg Service Center, focusing on the design and engineering of overhead and underground facilities across voltage levels.

Responsibilities include preparation of work orders, sketches, ROW and permit requests, and estimates; collaboration with customers and external partners;

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two-year Engineering or Engineering Technology degree program from a school/program accredited by a national accreditation agency.
• Successful completion of the company's Training and Development Program for Distribution Service Technicians.
• Licensed to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Specifies design for single phase and three phase overhead and underground facilities.
• Prepares corrective maintenance, failed equipment and pole replacement work orders for overhead and underground facilities.
• Coordinates with other utility companies, municipalities, corporations and authorities regarding joint use of distribution facilities.
• Prepares work orders, sketches, right-of-way requests, permit requests and estimates; generates work orders in company systems and tools.
• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to meet customer needs and service requirements.
• Determines customer obligations from standard practice instructions for contracts, costs, billing and accounting purposes.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

Two-year engineering/engineering technology degree
