Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is seeking a Materials Analyst to balance supply and demand for ingredients and packaging across bakeries in the inbound supply chain.

The role involves performing MRP analyses, releasing orders in Oracle, coordinating with suppliers, and monitoring inventory to maintain production levels. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or customer service.
• Proficient in Excel, ERP software, and Outlook.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain web-based inventory planning sheets weekly/daily as specified by BBU.
• Execute release orders in Oracle and track confirmations to ensure timely receipt of ingredients and packaging.
• Manage packaging and ingredients transitions due to product changes, promotions and transfers.
• Update forecasts in inventory planning sheets to support new products and promotions.
• Coordinate and place release orders for bulk ingredients at designated plants.
• Review monthly slow-moving inventory and take actions to reduce obsolescence.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
• Track and expedite incoming orders to ensure continued production.

Position Summary:

The Materials Analyst is responsible for balancing supply and demand for ingredients and packaging for bakeries in the BBU inbound supply chain.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Complete the MRP analysis/replenishment review of required stocking levels for ingredients and packaging in designated plants.

Execute release orders to approved suppliers based on existing purchasing contracts and blanket purchase orders, track confirmations, and expedite shipments as necessary to maintain inventory levels within the guidelines set by BBU.

• Execute release orders in Oracle and track confirmations to insure timely receipt of ingredients and packaging into bakeries
• Manage packaging and ingredients transitions as a result of innovation, packaging re-design, promotional activity and product transfers
