Distribution Project Manager - Electrical Utility - Willing to relocate to the Seattle area

Select Power Systems is looking for a skilled Project Manager to join our team in the Seattle area! If you have a strong background in Electric Utility Distribution Design and AutoCAD, we want to hear from you.

Roles and Responsibilities

• The qualified candidate should be familiar with the design and operation of utility electrical systems
• Compilation of design packages for construction
• Perform quality reviews of project deliverables
• Meetings and collaboration with various project stakeholders, including developers, construction teams, and clients, in the field or on-site

Required Education/Experience

• General experience in the design, operation, construction, and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines (4 kV through 35 kV) and/or strong familiarity with construction processes
• Exposure to utility standards, NESC, and an understanding of construction techniques
• Ability to successfully pass background screening
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Desired Education/Experience

• A four-year Bachelor's degree
• Prior utility design experience or distribution line work is highly desirable
• Exposure to utility Geographical Information Systems (GIS), MicroStation, and AutoCAD
• Ability to work in design teams, self-motivated, and proactive in learning
• Knowledge of utility standards, design software packages, and general construction knowledge
• Strong computer design skills, quick learner of new software, and ability to apply on-the-job training
• Excellent command of English with good written and oral communication skills
• Local travel is expected
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
