Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. in Allentown, PA is seeking an Engineer II to join our Distribution Engineering Group in the Power Sector. This in-office role requires designing overhead and underground distribution systems and preparing drawings, specifications, and estimates for review.

You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, lead planning efforts, support capital projects, and interact with clients. The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering and at least

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Utility Environment.
• Experience with GIS systems, preferably GTech or Smallworld, and CADD systems (AutoCAD/PLS CADD).

Responsibilities

• Create business cases to justify system improvements.
• Coordinate planning activities as part of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers.
• Lead and support capital maintenance and customer-driven projects.
• Develop, review and authenticate distribution planning documents and power quality investigations.
• Develop and support distribution single line diagrams and switching diagrams.

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
