Job Title
Distribution Operator (MDC) – Carthage, Missouri
Shift: Night (6:00pm–6:00am; rotating, every other weekend)
Pay: Starting $23.58/hr; 24‑month top out $27.77/hr; night differential $1.00/hr.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and warehouse incoming finished goods, bulk cheese, and other products.
- Assemble outbound orders and build shipment loads, ensuring customer‑specific and DOT requirements.
- Use computer terminals (e.g., RF units mounted on forklifts) for data entry, cycle counts, and inventory adjustments in Invio.
- Perform safe handling and forklift operations, maintaining a valid forklift operator license.
- Execute all required safety activities: LOTO, JHA, Food Safety, Food Quality SOPs, BPA compliance.
- Document and reconcile vendor and customer BOL data with Invio, research discrepancies, and follow SOPs.
- Maintain product rotation and quality in Bulk Cheese, Finished Goods, and Dry Storage warehouses.
- Assist in bulk support when needed and cover other distribution functions.
- Operate distribution center equipment (stretch wrapper, pallet inverter, dock plate, dock lock, etc.) in a 35‑38°F environment.
- Communicate effectively with Traffic Clerk, Inventory Control, QA Technician, System Specialist, and leaders.
Qualifications
- 6+ months forklift experience in a warehouse setting.
- Completion of Forklift Operator course and license.
- Experience with RF terminals and Invio system.
- Basic math competency and strong English reading/comprehension skills.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and in a 35‑38°F environment.
- Background check, physical and drug screening required.
- Power equipment operator certification (ongoing) preferred.
Physical Demands
- Work 12‑hour night shift; rest periods primarily on forklift.
- Pick, lift, and move boxes up to 85lbs, performing frequent twisting, balancing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
- Operate heavy equipment and perform continuous forklift driving.
