Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. seeks a Manager I, Distribution Operations to oversee a single site or account, coordinate warehouse personnel, and optimize assets by monitoring revenue and costs through P&L analysis.

You will lead teams, ensure on-time service, and maintain customer satisfaction across shifts including nights and weekends. The rolemay be located on-site at the customer facility and requires flexibility to satisfy demand.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 3-5 years of Transportation/Logistics experience and/or 2-4 years of supervisory experience; must possess a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance, or related fields with 1 year of relevant professional experience or 2-4 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, internal departments, and team to identify and resolve problems or issues.
• Forecast freight volumes/customer volume needs, power/equipment needs, and adjust capacity needs accordingly.
• Lead personnel to resolve service issues, receipt, inventory, material handling and safety of goods.
• May assign loads and plan, route, and monitor freight movement to provide safe, on-time service and meet customer requirements.
• Assist warehouse workers with duties including operating loading/unloading vehicles and processing receipts, inventory.
• Monitor safety standards, warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements; enforce safety culture and compliance.
• Oversee operations and serve as the first point of contact with assigned customers for service and profitability.
• Responsible for complete P&L performance and KPI analysis; prepare and present final reviews.
