The role requires strong modeling and data-analysis skills, with experience in network optimization tools and the ability to communicate complex findings to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (see above).
• Minimum 4 years in distribution network design, logistics analysis, or supply chain optimization.
• Experience with network modeling software or advanced analytical tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and quantitative modeling skills.
• Proficiency with SQL, Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Distribution Network Analyst to join their strategic team, operating under a hybrid model and supporting operations across the Northern Cape, including the region around Upington . This role is vital for optimizing the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and resilience of our client's distribution network. You will be responsible for analyzing network performance, identifying bottlenecks, and developing strategic recommendations for improvements. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and modeling skills, a deep understanding of distribution networks, and excellent communication abilities. You will work with complex data to design and refine network strategies, ensuring optimal flow of goods from origin to final destination. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current distribution network performance, identifying key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in distribution network design, logistics analysis, or supply chain optimization.
• Proven experience with network modeling software (e.g., Llamasoft, AnyLogic) or advanced analytical tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative modeling skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Excellent understanding of distribution network principles, transportation modes, and warehousing operations.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex findings.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating with remote and on-site teams.
