Job summary

The Campbell's Company is seeking a Distribution Material Handler in Saco, ME. Pay is $22.50/hour for 1st shift (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM). You will receive, store, pick, load, and distribute products and POS materials, with safety, accuracy, and organized warehouse practices at the core of the role.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trailers, labeling items, stacking pallets, and using RF scanners and voice-picking to ensure accurate orders. Prior warehouse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and/or one year of related experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

• Work around moving equipment and varying warehouse conditions.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers containing palletized and non-palletized products and POS materials.
• Sort and store products in designated locations.
• Assemble customer orders, palletize products, stretch wrap shipments.
• Label incoming products with date codes, descriptions, codes, and counts.
• Label outgoing shipments with route numbers and pallet counts.
• Verify quantities of products and POS materials received.
• Utilize RF scanning and voice-picking technology per guidelines.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment to transport inventory.
• Prepare areas for cycle counts and inventory activities.
• Complete equipment inspections and report defects.
• Follow all safety, food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping procedures.
• Maintain clean work areas and clear aisles/exits.
• Report injuries, property damage, and equipment concerns promptly.
• Support 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…

As a Distribution Material Handler, you will play a key role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of warehouse operations by receiving, storing, picking, loading, and distributing products and point-of-sale (POS) materials. Your commitment to safety, quality, and inventory accuracy will help ensure products are delivered on time while supporting a clean, organized, and high-performing warehouse environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO…

• Accurately load and unload trailers containing palletized and non-palletized products and POS materials using manual and powered material handling equipment.
• Sort and store products and materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Assemble customer orders, palletize products, stretch wrap shipments, and prepare products for distribution.
• Label incoming products with identifying information, including date codes, product descriptions, product codes, and case counts.
• Label outgoing shipments with route numbers, bin locations, and pallet counts.
• Verify quantities of products and POS materials received.
• Utilize RF scanning and voice-picking technology in accordance with company operating guidelines.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport inventory throughout the warehouse.
• Prepare and organize warehouse areas for cycle counts, inventory activities, and order fulfillment.
• Complete daily power equipment inspection and maintenance checklists and report defective equipment.
• Follow all safety, food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping procedures.
• Maintain clean work areas by removing trash and properly storing supplies.
• Keep aisles, exits, and workspaces clear and free of obstructions.
• Follow safe lifting and material handling practices for products of varying sizes and weights.
• Report workplace injuries, property damage, and equipment concerns promptly.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives, including 5S (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Experience working in food manufacturing, consumer products, or distribution environments.

Work Environment:
This position regularly works around moving mechanical equipment and may occasionally be exposed to wet or humid conditions, airborne particles, chemicals, fumes, and outdoor weather conditions. Noise levels are generally moderate. Employees should be comfortable working in a physically active warehouse environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
