Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Distribution Manager to lead our regional distribution team in Henderson, CO. You will directly manage 6 Class A drivers, overseeing safety, quality, service, and cost while coordinating with internal customers for timely delivery.

The role requires a CDL Class A with Hazmat experience, and a track record in safety leadership and fleet operations. On-site, with weekly schedules and hands-on fleet support as needed.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• Hazmat driving experience (2+ years).
• 2 years of management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DOT/OSHA/EPA/FDA regulations for hazmat transport.

In this role, you will directly manage a team of 6 Class A drivers, ensuring operational excellence while maintaining our unwavering commitment to safety. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, a proven track record in hazardous materials driving, and hands-on ability to assist with fleet operations when needed.## **Key Responsibilities*** ## Safety & Culture: Lead within the Airgas culture by putting safety first. Conduct daily safety meetings, ensure safety rules are strictly observed, schedule and document safety training, and immediately correct unsafe practices or conditions.* ## Team Leadership: Direct, train, motivate, and manage a team of 6 Class A licensed drivers. Handle hiring, performance management, work planning, and conflict resolution to meet or exceed performance targets.* ## Operations & Service: Take full responsibility for the Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost control of the Distribution team. Work closely with internal customers to ensure their needs are met in a timely manner.* ## Compliance & Regulations: Partner with the regional safety officer to coordinate procedures for strict compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA, and state/local regulations.* ## Fleet & Logistics Management: + ## Oversee all truck maintenance and fleet upkeep. + ## Create weekly delivery schedules for inter-branch and micro-bulk customer requirements. + ## Handle accident reporting for the fleet and represent the company regarding any traffic violations.* ## Incident Response: Ensure all accidents and/or injuries are properly investigated and reported within 24 hours.* ## Hands-on Support: Adjust or move tractors and trailers on site as needed to maintain smooth operational flow.* ## Continuous Improvement: Create, implement, and revise standard operational practices (SOPs) as needed.* ## Other Duties: Perform additional operational tasks as assigned.## \\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_## ## Are you a MATCH?## **Required Qualifications**:***** ## License: Active, valid CDL Class A required.* ## Driving Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience driving Class A Hazmat.* ## Management Experience: 2 years of management/supervisory experience preferred.* ## Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of DOT, OSHA, EPA, and FDA regulations relevant to hazardous materials transport.* ## Leadership Skills: Proven ability to build a safety-first culture, hold teams accountable, and resolve associate issues effectively.
