Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in engineering, manufacturing, construction, field maintenance operations, or related electric utility experience.
• Must obtain a California Driver’s License by first day of employment.
• Travels at least 10% - 50% of time with occasional overnight stays; flexible schedule including on-call and emergencies.
• May work outdoors in remote areas, steep or uneven terrain, and inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Lead with safe behaviors in all work performance and promote a speak up culture.
• Facilitate or lead weekly team meetings and safety tailboards; conduct trainings as needed.
• Visit work sites at least 50% of the time to monitor progress and performance.
• Ensure customer needs are met and communicate professionally with customers.
• Oversee maintenance and construction work to meet safety, time, budget, and quality expectations.
• Prepare and maintain all work documentation or reporting.
• Make complex field decisions using technical knowledge while considering cost, risk, safety, and impact.
• Optimize resource use by monitoring crew productivity.
• Provide feedback and develop direct reports; build cross-functional relationships.
• Respond to emergencies and outages; may lead field operations in major activations.
• Supervise staff including bargaining unit employees in recruitment, training, performance, and rewards.
