Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is hiring a Distribution Groundman to support overhead and underground distribution work in California. You will assist Linemen, load and unload materials, and help with pole and wire operations.

The role requires physical stamina and safety awareness, with opportunities for growth through training programs. Responsibilities include assisting with construction and maintenance tasks, operating basic equipment, and adhering to DOT and company safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience or training with basic construction activities.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor and operate tools safely.
• CPR certification is beneficial for safety while on site.

Responsibilities

• Assist Linemen to gain access to poles and frame cross-arms.
• Load and unload materials; raise materials and tools on poles or towers.
• Dismantle materials and place on trucks; dig holes for poles and anchors.
• Operate trucks and power equipment used in line construction; follow safety protocols.
• Maintain trails and manage vegetation around poles and towers; learn line construction methods.
• Participate in testing and safety procedures as required.
