Job summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Distribution Clerk (Mailroom) to ensure timely movement of materials and orders. You will organize routes, sort mail, package shipments, and route invoices to carriers, while maintaining a clean workspace and adhering to safety policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years in distribution/logistics, strong communication, and a valid driver’s license with an insurable record. Eligible for the company’s standard benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 2 years of experience in a distribution/logistics environment
• Good reading, writing and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record

Responsibilities

• Organize daily activities to ensure efficient routing and satisfy customer delivery requirements.
• Open and sort all incoming mail and orders per procedures.
• Package completed work for shipment, including materials.
• Initiate DVI invoice generating sequence and route completed work by best carrier.
• Match invoices and file as necessary.
• Keep work area neat, clean and organized.
• Follow all company policies and safety rules; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Assist others to meet deadlines and maintain workloads; cooperate with coworkers.
• Provide training and guidance for less experienced coworkers; attend training meetings when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
