Job summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking an Assistant Supervisor to oversee day-to-day distribution operations across multiple departments in a fast-paced setting. You will supervise staff, plan workflows, and ensure accuracy in packing and shipping processes.

The role requires attention to detail and strong communication with management and team members. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or GED), 2+ years in logistics/distribution, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in a logistics/distribution environment.
• Experience operating power equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime.
• Proficient with Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and work independently.
• Strong numeracy and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and plans distribution department functions.
• Schedules staff and monitors daily operations.
• Performs interviews and hires new associates.
• Reviews operations to align with plans and budgets.
• Conducts performance evaluations and coaching.
• Ensures accuracy and conducts audits.
• Coordinates with operations manager daily.
• Trains newly hired associates.
