Job summary

ECHO Incorporated, a leader in outdoor power equipment, seeks a Director of Distribution to champion best-in-class processes for growth. This on-site role at our Lake Zurich, IL facility leads distribution, transportation, and inventory across multiple sites, focusing on cost reduction, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include strategic leadership of warehousing, material handling, and automation; budgeting, SOPs, and cross-functional collaboration with Supply Chain,

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of logistics and management experience.
• 5 years in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and mentor staff.
• Ability to document workflow and process flow.
• Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, graphs, reports).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year distribution and logistics roadmap.
• Lead warehouse expansion and automation investments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations with growth.
• Drive safety, quality, and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Manage two remote warehouses plus Lake Zurich facility, with some travel.
