Job summary

Southern California Edison is hiring a Distribution Journeyman Lineman to join the team in California. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground distribution and communication systems, with responsibilities including wiring, testing, and safely working near energized equipment.

You will work with others, train apprentices, and uphold a strong safety culture while supporting California’s transition to clean energy and grid modernization.

Qualifications

• Certified Journeyman Lineman with Journeyman card.
• Valid Class A driver’s license.
• Experience maintaining and repairing overhead/underground distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, maintain and repair distribution systems overhead and underground.
• Install, connect, test and troubleshoot conductors, cables and equipment.
• Operate test equipment and construction vehicles; supervise apprentices and helpers.
• Adhere to safety procedures for energized lines and equipment; use PPE and safety gear.
