Job summary

Southern California Edison is seeking a Distribution Journeyman Lineman to install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground distribution systems. This role supports modernization of the electric grid and requires climbing poles and working on energized lines with strict safety.

You will lead apprentices, operate test equipment, and comply with DOT testing and safety standards. A Journeyman card and Class A license are required, with willingness to work overtime in varied California

Qualifications

• Certified Journeyman Lineman with Journeyman card.
• Valid Class A driver's license.
• Experience with utility poles and climbing.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs overhead and underground distribution and communication systems.
• Climbs poles/structures to install equipment and perform line work.
• Operates test equipment and constructs vehicles as needed.
• Collaborates with apprentices and helpers on jobs.
