Job summary

Southern California Edison is seeking a Distribution Journeyman Lineman to install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground distribution and communication systems. The job involves working with poles, transformers, and protective devices while following strict safety procedures.

You will test equipment with meters, operate construction vehicles, and guide apprentices. A valid Journeyman Lineman card and a Class A license are required; relocation may apply.

Qualifications

• Certified Journeyman Lineman with Journeyman card.
• Valid Class A driver’s license.
• Experience with utility poles and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Installs, removes, maintains, and repairs overhead and underground distribution and communication systems.
• Installs and removes equipment such as poles, cross arms, towers, enclosures, ducts, and transformers.
• Connects, tests, and maintains electrical equipment and apparatus.
• Uses safety procedures and PPE when working near energized lines.
• Operates test equipment and construction vehicles as needed.
• Collaborates with apprentices and helpers, guiding safe work practices.
