The candidate will join the Distribution organization, with duties spanning pole work, equipment installation, and cable testing. DOT classification and drug screening apply; remote relocation possible.

Qualifications

• Certified Journeyman Lineman and possess a Journeyman Lineman card.
• Valid Class A motor vehicle operator's license.
• Experience working with utility poles (including ascending and descending climbing).
• Weight under 285 pounds due to safety equipment restrictions.
• Commitment to safety and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Installs, removes, maintains, and repairs overhead and underground distribution and communication systems.
• Installs and removes equipment such as poles, cross arms, towers, enclosures, ducts and piping and electrical apparatus including transformers, switches, capacitors, and reclosers.
• Installs, removes, splices, bonds, terminates, and tests conductor and cable (excluding paper insulated lead).
• Connects, tests, adjusts, repairs, and maintains electrical equipment and apparatus.
• Using precautionary procedures and safety equipment to work on or near energized lines or equipment.
• Operates test equipment and construction vehicles as required.
• Collaborates with others, mentoring apprentices and helpers.
