Job summary

A leading energy company in West Virginia is seeking a Lineman B. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of lineman experience and hold an OSHA 10 card. Responsibilities include troubleshooting conductors and maintaining equipment. Candidates must be prepared to work in a variety of weather conditions and possess a valid Class A CDL. This position may require overtime and traveling to various job sites, with a company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of lineman experience required.
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
• OSHA 10 Card or equivalent.
• Electrical Card and related climbing/equipment certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting on primary and secondary conductors.
• Maintain vehicles/equipment in good working condition.
• Learn to conduct effective pre-job briefings.
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL for travel to sites.

Job description

Penn Line Energy T&D, Inc. is seeking candidates for a Lineman B. Below are the requirements of the job:

Training

• Attended Lineman School (preferred)
• OSHA 10 Card (or equivalent)
• Electrical Card
• Track Bucket
• Wood Pole Climbing Certificate (preferred)
• Aerial Bucket
• Track Digger
• Wire Stringing Equipment
• Minimum of two (2) years of lineman experience.

Physical Demands

• Lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
• Climb steel towers.
• Climb wood poles.
• Climb other structures.
• Work in inclement weather.
• Work in high and low temperatures.Work on primary conductors.
• Work on secondary conductors.
• Assist with work on regulators.
• Work off of ladders.
• Work at heights up to 100’ or more.
• Assist with work on transformer banks.
• Assist with work on reclosers.
• Assist with work on capacitors.
• Assist with working in confined spaces.

Travel and Work Schedule

• A company vehicle will be furnished to travel to work sites primarily located in northern West Virginia and southern Pennsylvania.
• Work schedules may be either four ten-hour days or five ten-hour days.
• Must work overtime as required.
• Must respond to storm restoration work and call-outs, as required. This work may require individuals to be away from home on an extended basis.
• Regular work per diem greater than 60 miles away from home.
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
