Job summary

A leading energy company is seeking a Lineman A in Washington County, Washington. The role involves physical demands such as lifting over 50 lbs and climbing structures, along with leadership responsibilities including directing crews and conducting pre-job briefings. Job description

Penn Line Energy T&D, Inc. is seeking candidates for a Lineman A. Below are the requirements of the job:

Training
  • Attended Lineman School (preferred)
  • OSHA 10 Card (or equivalent)
  • Electrical Card
  • Track Bucket
  • Wood Pole Climbing Certificate (preferred)
  • Aerial Bucket
  • Track Digger
  • Wire Stringing Equipment
  • Phasing Out Conductors
  • Minimum of three (3) years of lineman experience.
Physical Demands
  • Lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Climb steel towers.
  • Climb wood poles.
  • Climb other structures.
  • Work in inclement weather.
  • Work in high and low temperatures.Work on primary conductors.
  • Work on secondary conductors.
  • Work on regulators.
  • Work off of ladders.
  • Work at heights up to 100’ or more.
  • Work on transformer banks.
  • Work on reclosers.
  • Work on capacitors.
  • Work in confined spaces.

Leadership

Travel and Work Schedule
  • A company vehicle will be furnished to travel to work sites primarily located in northern West Virginia and southern Pennsylvania.
  • Work schedules may be either four ten-hour days or five ten-hour days.
  • Must work overtime as required.
  • Must respond to storm restoration work and call-outs, as required. This work may require individuals to be away from home on an extended basis.
  • Regular work per diem greater than 60 miles away from home.
  • Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
