You may perform Line Mechanic A duties as needed and mentor junior mechanics while directing rapid restoration and line switching. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, two years as Line Mechanic A, and a valid Class A CDL with a state license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years as qualified Line Mechanic A is required.
• Valid Class A CDL and a state driver's license are required.
• Ability to interpret prints and drawings and apply safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a line crew in safe construction, maintenance, operation and retirement of distribution lines.
• Direct switching operations and line clearances; mentor line mechanics.
• Promote safety programs and enforce company policies and equal employment opportunity.
• Plan procedures, supervise crew, and use independent judgment to ensure prompt, reliable service.
