Job summary

PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical utility projects and support proposal development. The role collaborates with operations, project management, vendors, and leadership to price work strategically and align with company goals.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and bid documents, performing quantity takeoffs, and analyzing labor, materials, and equipment costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering/Business or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years estimating or construction management experience preferred.
• Experience in electrical utility construction and related projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical utility projects including transmission, distribution, substations.
• Review drawings, specs, bid documents, contracts, and project requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and estimate costs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Analyze productivity, pricing, and construction methods to develop accurate estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotations for competitive pricing.
• Support bid packages, pricing summaries, and proposals.
