Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in the electrical utility market.
• ABET-accredited Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Texas or able to obtain within 6 months.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, plan, protect, and consult on electric utility distribution systems.
• Apply the National Electrical Safety Code for strength and clearance calculations.
• Perform construction inspections and use distribution system analysis software for steady-state and transient studies.
• Develop long-range and capital construction planning studies and perform protective coordination studies.
• Mentor and lead less experienced distribution engineers and designers.
