Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking an Engineer, Engineering Associate, or Engineering Representative for the Atlanta Distribution Area. The role covers day-to-day engineering work, service design, estimating, and coordinating overhead and underground residential construction.

Responsibilities include writing switching orders, ensuring compliance documentation, and participating in storm restoration and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited school is required.
• PE license can substitute for the degree.
• Experience in distribution engineering with a power utility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day engineering work in an assigned area.
• Design, estimate, and coordinate construction for overhead and underground residential and new business projects.
• Prepare and schedule construction to meet service dates and write switching orders for reliability.
• Process documentation to comply with all requirements and respond to customer inquiries.
• Participate in on-call trouble supervision and storm restoration responsibilities.
