Appalachian Power Co. is seeking a Distribution Dispatcher at multiple grade levels to assist in the safe and reliable operation, dispatch, and restoration of facilities for the AEP Distribution System. Candidates should live within 30 minutes of the Roanoke TCC Facility in Salem, VA.

The role offers advancement from Associate to Senior levels with training and testing milestones. Rotation shifts and call-out availability are required, with compensation data reflecting a broad range for the

• SO/PD exam is required for this position.
• Rotating shift work is required.

Responsabilidades

• Promote and enforce the Company’s Safety and Health programs.
• Be knowledgeable of and adhere to written company and department policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior and support the Company’s Corporate Compliance Policy.
• Effectively operate company communication equipment.
• Track crew locations and ongoing work on the distribution system.
• Dispatch service personnel to respond to outage and emergency situations.
• Authorize the energizing and restoration of distribution facilities.
• Maintain accurate outage records.
• Maintain accurate records of abnormal and defective equipment for distribution facilities.

Bachelor’s degree in any field

Associate’s degree in electrical or electronic technology
