Duke Energy Corporation is seeking an Engineering Technologist/Distribution Designer to design and facilitate electric service connections to the grid, using design software and engineering knowledge. You will support the local operations center with complex design challenges to ensure reliable service.

The role requires an Associate degree in Engineering Technology with related experience, or a high school diploma with more extensive experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering Technology with 2 years related experience.
• In lieu of degree, a high school diploma/GED and four years related experience can be considered.
• Proven ability to work with diverse backgrounds and maintain professional communication.

Responsabilités

• Apply technical expertise to identify, analyze, and resolve problems within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Support planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities to meet business goals.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and sketches with accuracy.
• Conduct engineering studies to support distribution design work.
• Develop positive working relationships and coordinate work activities.
