Job summary

Duquesne Light Company in McKeesport is seeking a Distribution Technician to design and field-install distribution and subtransmission facilities, including overhead and underground work, with a focus on meeting customer needs and safety standards.

The role requires knowledge of CAD/GIS, strong collaboration with customers and municipal partners, and the ability to prepare drawings, estimates and documentation for Maximo and other systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred.
• ABET accreditation will no longer be required.
• Minimum of seven (7) years Journey Lineworker level field experience can qualify without a degree.

Responsibilities

• Design and field work on distribution and subtransmission projects (overhead and underground).
• Prepare drawings, specifications, calculations, estimates, and permit requests; manage records in DMS/Maximo/NJUNS.
• Use CAD/GIS and GIS portals for asset data and attachments; coordinate with customers and municipal/utility reps.
