K&A Engineering Consulting in Charlotte, NC seeks a Distribution Engineer II to join our team. You will perform distribution planning and design for medium voltage systems (1 kV to 35 kV), develop engineering drawings for construction, and provide technical oversight with minimal supervision.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, 3+ years in the power utility industry, and experience with Maximo, BOUD, SEDS, and PoleForeman.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 3+ years of experience in the power utility industry.
• Experience with Maximo, BOUD, SEDS and Poleforeman.

Responsabilités

• Perform distribution planning and design for medium voltage (1 kV to 35 kV) overhead and underground systems.
• Analyze scope and maintain schedule adherence to client priorities.
• Review and prepare engineering drawings suitable for construction.
• Provide technical oversight with minimal supervision.
• Review field notes and designs with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Assist with pole loading analysis and equipment sizing for residential/commercial projects.
• Perform site visits to inspect, measure and verify designs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
