Job summary

Electric Power Engineers, LLC is seeking a Staff Engineer II/III to design and coordinate modern electric distribution systems from Panama City, Panama. The role emphasizes collaboration with design teams, field personnel, and clients to deliver reliable projects.

Responsibilities include conducting field surveys, preparing design packages, and providing technical insights while managing multiple tasks and timelines. Occasional travel is required; hybrid work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in distribution system design and ability to manage design tasks from inception to completion with some field experience.
• Familiarity with distribution systems, AutoCAD, GIS systems, and pole loading software (IKE Poleforeman, Ocalc, SpidaCalc).
• Staff Engineer III: same as above but 3-4 years of experience and proven leadership in project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Survey electric distribution systems and document conditions for design.
• Design overhead and underground distribution systems using AutoCAD and GIS; prepare drawings, material lists, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate projects between design teams, field personnel, and stakeholders; manage schedules and field issues.
• Interact with clients to understand requirements and provide technical insights on design challenges.
• Maintain technical documentation and project deliverables aligned with client specs and timelines.
