Job summary

HDR is seeking a Distribution Coordinator/EIT in the Phoenix area to join our Power team. You will conduct analyses, develop design options, and prepare deliverables for land acquisition, permitting, and construction.

Required: Bachelor's in Engineering, MS Office proficiency, and a strong commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture. Preferred: Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate with career progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses to develop power-related design options and deliverables.

• Collaborate with Project Engineers, EITs, Designers, or BIM Specialists.
• Prepare deliverables for land acquisition, permitting, and construction.

• Conduct analyses to develop power-related design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of project deliverables (examples include engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, and project specifications)
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers / professionals on larger projects
• Work with assistance from Project Engineers, other Engineers In-Training (EITs), Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed
• Perform other duties as needed
• Perform field work, analysis, calculations, and design for various overhead and underground system improvement projects
• Prepare deliverables for use by client in support of land acquisition, permitting, and construction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
• Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression

• Computer skills in Microsoft Office
