Job summary

HDR, located in United States-North Dakota-Fargo, is seeking a Transmission Line EIT/Coordinator to join our engineering team. You will conduct analyses to develop power-related design options, assist in preparing project deliverables, and support design and project execution across multiple projects.

• EIT not required at hire; may be placed in a Design Coordinator role until EIT is obtained.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses to develop power-related design options or recommendations, and assist in preparing project deliverables (e.g., engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, specifications).
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers and professionals on larger projects.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers, other Engineers In-Training (EITs), Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed.
• Support construction inspection/administration activities.
• Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Transmission Line EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to:

• Conduct analyses to develop power-related design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of project deliverables (examples include engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, and project specifications)
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more‑senior engineers / professionals on larger projects
• Work with assistance from Project Engineers, other Engineers In-Training (EITs), Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed
• Support on construction inspection/administration activities
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
