Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Command Center Operator for our distribution center in Fort Worth. The role analyzes data, workflow and demand to strategically manage the distribution flow and service levels. You will coordinate inbound/outbound operations and resolve issues in real time to maximize productivity.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and 3–5 years in manufacturing or distribution, with the ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• 3-5 years in manufacturing/distribution
• Ability to handle potentially stressful situations calmly and effectively, and make decisions based on sound judgement and good reasoning
• Ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Analyze data, workflow and demand, and compare to service level agreements to make independent strategic decisions for overall building operational flow
• By utilizing building technology systems, analytically evaluate current conditions versus expectations to control the overall flow of the distribution facility
• Coordinate and lead plan for inbound and outbound receiving/shipping operations to ensure building meets service level agreements and daily goals
• Identify hardware, software, or operational issues in real time, effectively communicate with operations and maintenance teams, and drive resolution for to maximize building productivity
• Identify improvements for operational building flow, and drive improvements to completion through coordination with business leadership
