Job summary

Utz Quality Foods, Inc. is seeking a Guard Shack Clerk for the Weekend Night Shift in Hanover, PA. The role balances gate duties with distribution office tasks to keep shipments moving and ensure accurate documentation.

You'll work in a two-person team, rotating between guard shack and office, supporting drivers and warehouse staff with professionalism, organization, and clear communication on a fast-moving, reliable operations floor.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in distribution, shipping/receiving, or warehouse admin preferred.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, WMS, or other logistics software.
• Detail-oriented with strong organization and time management skills.
• Clear communicator, both written and verbal.
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently.
• Flexibility to rotate between indoor office work and a more autonomous guard shack environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in incoming truck drivers, verify documentation and load details in Blue Yonder.
• Manage inbound and outbound dock appointments and maintain detailed shipping/receiving records.
• Rotate between the office and the guard shack, both require organization, professionalism, and multitasking.
• Upload and process shipping documents daily in our TMS (Transportation Management System).
• Release loads and prioritize tasks based on input from warehouse leadership.
• Provide support and clear direction to drivers on site.
• Maintain order, safety, and accuracy in both guard and administrative functions.
• Communicate effectively across departments to ensure flow of goods remains efficient.

Do you thrive in roles that balance independence with teamwork? Utz Quality Foods is continuing to grow, and we're looking for a Guard Shack Clerk to join our logistics and distribution team on the Weekend Night Shift at our Hanover, PA facility.

This full-time position runs Friday though Sunday, 5:30 PM to 5:30 AM, supporting around-the-clock operations that keep our products moving efficiently. You'll split your time between the guard shack and the distribution office, helping to manage gate activity, verify documentation, and maintain smooth coordination between drivers and warehouse staff.

You'll work closely with another clerk in a two-person team, where dependability, communication, and attention to detail are key. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and enjoys contributing to a structured yet fast-moving environment.
