Job summary

UTZ Brands, Inc in Hanover, PA seeks a Guard Shack Clerk to join the logistics and distribution team on the Week Night Shift. Responsibilities

• Greet and check in incoming truck drivers, verify documentation and load details.
• Manage inbound and outbound dock appointments and maintain shipping/receiving records.
• Rotate between the office and the guard shack, maintaining professionalism and multitasking.
• Upload and process shipping documents daily in the TMS.
• Release loads and prioritize tasks with input from warehouse leadership.
• Provide support and clear direction to drivers on site.
• Maintain order, safety, and accuracy in guard and administrative functions.
• Communicate across departments to ensure smooth flow of goods.

Guard Shack Clerk – Week Night Shift – Hanover, PA

Do you thrive in roles that balance independence with teamwork? Utz Quality Foods is continuing to grow, and we’re looking for a Guard Shack Clerk to join our logistics and distribution team on the Week Night Shift at our Hanover, PA facility.

This full-time position runs Monday though Thursday, 5:30 PM to 5:30 AM, supporting around-the-clock operations that keep our products moving efficiently. You’ll split your time between the guard shack and the distribution office, helping to manage gate activity, verify documentation, and maintain smooth coordination between drivers and warehouse staff.

You’ll work closely with another clerk in a two-person team, where dependability, communication, and attention to detail are key. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and enjoys contributing to a structured yet fast-moving environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in distribution, shipping/receiving, or warehouse admin preferred
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, WMS, or other logistics software
• Detail‑oriented with strong organization and time management skills
• Clear communicator, both written and verbal
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently
• Flexibility to rotate between indoor office work and a more autonomous guard shack environment
