Job summary

San Gabriel Valley Medical Center is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, distribute, ship, and warehouse hospital materials. The role supports the center's mission and core values while ensuring accurate, timely handling of supplies.

You will follow FIFO, keep storage areas organized, and maintain records of inventories and emergency pick-ups. The position requires a high school diploma and at least one year of warehousing experience, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Fills requisitions on time and accurately to minimize interruptions of the daily operation.
• Delivers goods to designated areas on time and accurately.
• Ensures all stored items are covered, dated, and identifiable with labels for proper usage.
• Keeps storage areas clean and organized to comply with storage guidelines.
• Keeps stored items 12” above the floor and at reachable height.
• Follows FIFO inventory method to ensure product rotation.
• Maintains inventory sheets for stock level control.
• Completes physical inventories as scheduled and per procedures.
• Assures every item is inventoried to ensure continuity of service.
• Maintains records on emergency pick-ups for accountability.
• Communicates delivery problems to supervisor promptly; e.g., incorrect amount, substitutes, delays, damaged products.
• Maintains traffic control and security in main storeroom during hours of operation.
• Follows proper handling and infection control procedures.
• Follows established cleaning procedures.
• Protects department property and equipment.
• Performs other related duties as required.
